2026 Honda Civic vs 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid
Serving Chattanooga, TN
The Honda Civic has long been a leading option for budget-minded compact car shoppers. Despite its affordable price, the Civic has premium features and sporty styling that make it easy to fall in love with. In 2026, you can continue to choose between the Honda Civic and the Civic Hybrid. While similar in many ways, the Civic and Civic Hybrid are differentiated in a few exciting ways.
Performance
The Civic is available in four trim levels. The entry-level engine is a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter gas engine, a 150-horsepower unit with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The Civic Si, which is only offered in a sedan body style, has a turbo 1.5-liter, 200-horsepower engine. Its six-speed manual transmission features rev-matching downshifts. The Civic Type R is only available as a hatchback. It has a 315-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission.
The two hybrid trim levels share the same 2.0-liter, four-cylinder hybrid engine, which produces 200 horsepower and is mated to a continuously variable transmission.
Appearance
While there aren't design differences between the 2026 Civic and Civic Hybrid, there are differences between the trim levels and body styles. Overall, the model has a bold front end with a thin grille that turns upward slightly as it integrates with the elongated headlights. These headlights are capped on two sides by a thick LED bar. Over the sides, the Civic and Civic Hybrid have a sporty look with an upper pinstripe and a lower definition line that streams in a convergent design.
Features
If you select one of the gas-powered Civic sedans or hatchbacks, your car could come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, lane keeping assistance, a lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation, a 7-inch infotainment system screen, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning, folding rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and other features. The Civic Hybrid trim levels have these features as well as wireless smartphone app connections, a 9-inch infotainment system screen, a Bose audio system with 12 speakers, Google technologies, a digital instrument panel, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, and a few other features.
