Annie Hanna, Tara Haston, and Matt Shields are special education teachers at Boynton Elementary School in Ringgold. They work with autistic students and every year they take a group of fifth graders on a 5-day trip to Disney World. Most of the students will never have the opportunity to visit the magical destination, and these hardworking teachers believe that it is an ideal place to develop and practice daily social skills such as communication, waiting in line, ordering food, taking turns, independent hygiene, and following a schedule.
This year, 12 students are going so the school is fundraising for the exciting experience. From now until the end of the month, for every vehicle we sell our dealership will donate $100 towards the trip.
