How often do you pull out that handy-dandy user manual kit that's located in the glovebox of your Honda? How often do you think about where it came from, and how it got there?

Probably not too often. And we didn't either here at Economy Honda Superstore. That is, before we caught wind of this great new industry news story.

There's a town in Alabama called Eastaboga--there, a non-profit called Rainbow Omega provides housing assistance and job training for adults with developmental disorders, helping them to lead productive and empowering lives with caring employment. They hold contracts with large companies to assemble or ship supplies. One if their larger contracts is with Honda Manufacturing of Alabama--and their export?

User manuals. The packets that they ship head to the local factory to be placed in new Honda models like the Honda Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline, and Accord.

They are so prompt, efficient, and careful with their shipments over at Rainbow Omega that they recently got awarded for it!

Michael Gaines, purchasing division manager at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, said during his speech that only 93 performance awards ranging from quality, value, and delivery were given out across the 644 North American parts and materials suppliers ... “Last year Rainbow Omega flawlessly delivered over 350,000 kits to HMA — no late shipments, no mislabels, and all shipping information was correct."
