Are Your Tires Due For Replacement?

Has it been awhile since you had a tire rotation done? Does your Honda tend to drift in one direction when you're driving down the road? Do you keep getting a tire pressure warning?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we urge you to check your tires to see what kind of shape they're in. If the tread is worn down too much, it might be time to replace your tires. This could also be a sign of other problems with your car.

How do I check tread depth?

Try using a penny. Insert it top-first into the tread. If you can still see Lincoln's head, your tires are too worn down. This is unsafe as it means your tires will struggle to gain traction, especially in poor weather. You might also be at risk for a tire blowout. It's time to replace your tires.

My tires wore down too quickly. What happened?

Your wheels might be out of alignment or your tires might be under-inflated. This puts extra stress on your tires and wears them down faster. You could need a wheel alignment if you notice your car listing in one direction when you drive.

If your vehicle needs a tire rotation to help keep even tread or a wheel alignment, contact our helpful service department. Schedule an appointment online, call at (855) 307-0793, or see us in person at our dealership in Chattanooga, TN today!
